IPL Auctions 2017: 5 players with Surprising Base Price might get Unsold
The IPL auction is the time of the year when all the team owners and coaches are searching for best suit their side. Some players are com up with surprising basic price, while some others going unsold.
Nathan Lyon played in T20 team in 2010-11, his impressive performance went on to represent South Australia. Although know to be best Australian spinner, he has played only one T20 international and 13 ODIs when compared to the 63 Tests he has featured in for Australia team.
A 29-year-old man has achieved reasonable success in BBL for Sydney sixers outfit with the average of 19.48 in 33 matches, yet the basic price of 1.5 crores he set for IPL 2017 is too high.
This South African youngster Andile Phehlukwayo know for fast bowling turns few heads with his great performance over the last few months. He has named as the all-rounder but he has to prove it more with his bats. He has the poor average of bat int he domestic circuit with an average of only 9.25 in 21 innings and bowling average of 29. With the economy of 8.04 in T20s and with the highest basic price of 1 crore he might be not picked by any franchises.
Jason Holder a first-class bowling average of under 22 and a sub-50 strike-rate was the highest wicket-taker for the West Indies in the ODI format but had not played T20 international game although he was including in world cup winning squad.
In last year and part of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad last having the decent average of a ball, he was vey poor with the bat (13.09). But he is the next player in IPL 2017 who has place a highest basic price.
This 39-year-old Brad Haddin has been out of Australia’s squad three formats of the game for almost two years now with Matthew Wade replacing him behind the stumps.He did not have experience in playing IPL, only played last in 2011 for Kolkata Knight Riders.

South Africa’s Imran Tahir is in a list for the surprisingly low price of 50 lakhs he set for IPL 2017 auction. He has quickly risen up the ranks to be known for world’s best spinners in the shortest format. The performance in test matches might not be good but he has compensated it with playing well in ODI and T20 format.
The bidding price is very low what he worth, he played with an average of 14.34 and economy rate of 6.39 in T20s.He may be picked by buyers and fans could be sure to witness a bidding war to bag this talented South African.
