England Kick Out Bangladesh Winning Over 8 Wickets in First Match

Terrific start for the team England. The first ICC Champions 2017, England beats Bangladesh by eight wickets match held on 1st June 2017, Thursday. The match was interesting to watch for the fans of team England. The toss was won by England where they decided to bowl first against Bangladesh. The host team planned to give a study start to team Bangladesh with decent runs and later chase them down plucking out the wickets.


From the team, Bangladesh Tamim Iqbal scored century accompanied with Mushfiqur Rahim who scored the total of 75 runs. Although the team Bangladesh set up a good target of 300+ but losing wickets in the second half of the match is the reason they lost the match. The team England has the power of Ben Stokes who played brilliantly, on another hand Joe Root remained unbeaten scoring 133 runs accompanied by captain and skipper Eoin Morgan’s unbeaten 75 runs. Alex Hales also added 95 runs to the scoreboard of England. The team England lost only 2 wickets and reached the target before 16 delivers left.

Although losing the toss, Bangladesh got the chance to bat first, the team set the target of 300 with losing 6 wickets at Oval. Bangladesh has the study start with batting line-up of Soumya Sankar and Imrul Kayes Rahim and Tarim Iqbal played the good part to keep the innings in track. Taemin at 128 runs has performed brilliantly with Rahim who scored 79 with fluent fifty. But unfortunately this was not the day for team Bangladesh, hope they will do well in next match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
