IPL the biggest cricket tournament all over the world. Some of the players supprised for getting picked by franchised while some got disappointed for not being selected, there are few players who got selected but by poor bad luck unable to play for IPL.
It happened same with South African Player and wicket-keeper Quinton De Knock, due to the finger injury he will not be able to play third test series match against New Zeland and may miss the whole cricket match tournament of IPL.
The team is set with the replacement with uncapped keeper Heinrich Klassen if Knock fails the fitness test going which is going to be conducted on Friday. If he clears the test he would be able to play the next day match going to be held at Hamilton’s Seddon Park.
In X-ray test in Hamilton, it was clear that the finger was broken. The situation gets worse in the second Test played by Knock in Wellington. Although Australian won that match by 8 wickets to lead the three-match series 1-0. But it would be the great setback for the Australian player.
The team doctor said, “we’ll make a late call whether, with the protective strapping the physio is trying to arrange, he can bat.” On another hand, he also said that it almost takes 4 to 6 weeks for de Knock to recover from injury. He also added that Knock might not play for IPL and the Champions Trophy which is going to be started in England in June.
