Uncapped Indians in highlights as IPL auction looms with eight franchises teams gearing up to pick a maximum of 76 out of 351 players, who will go under the hammer at the auction for the 10th IPL on Monday. In this last auction of the 10-year cycle, the franchise will strongly focus on buying uncapped Indian players. The maximum strength of squad will be of 27  but most franchises like to keep squad base between 22 and 24.

The selection of the players depends on the basic price they set ranging Rs 10 lakh to Rs 2 crore and also the performance they showed in recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Ishant Sharma is the only player from India who has set the basic price of Rs 2 crore. Although with erratic bowling in the format, Ishant is a tricky pick.

On another hand, with all-rounder ability, Irfan Pathan with the basic price of 50 lakhs can get few bids at his side. With the low basic price of Rs 30 lakhs and fast bowling ability Varun Aaron, it excepted to attract more bidders. Among the uncapped Indian player’s new faces batsman Virat Singh and teenage sensation, Prithvi Shaw can attract good bids with the basic amount of Rs 10 Lakh.

Rookie left-arm speedsters T Natarajan and right-arm pacer Basil Thampi could also invite good bids with lowest basic the price of 10 lakh. A clutch of top England players Ben Stokes, Eoin Morgan, Jason Roy have entered the fray but in all the likelihood will only be available for the month of April. The highest basic price of 2 crores set by the England players makes franchises head turn twice before bidding for them. But As all-rounder stoke, 8-10 matches he plays would be enough to make a huge difference for his franchise.

From Afghanistan, there would hen5 players in the auction but  Mohammed Shahzad (BP Rs 50 lakh) with his pyrotechnics and spinner all-rounder Mohammed Nabi (BP Rs 30 lakh) may get deals which would be the great help in the friendly neighbor the relationship between two countries.
