IPL 2017 auction: 351 players in final IPL auction list

A total of 799 players has registered and franchises have shortlisted 351 players, which includes 122 capped internationals for the event in Bangalore. The IPL governing body confirmed on Tuesday (February after the eight franchises submitted their wishlists to the IPL.

The fast bowling cricketer Ishant Sharma is the one player with the basic price of Rs 2core, the other players include ODI and T20I caption Eoin Morgan and allrounder Chris Woakes, allrounder Ben Stokes and two Australian fast men Mitchell Johnson and Pat Cummins and Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews. Before the list includes 160 capped players and 639 uncapped ones from nine countries.

The names from Afganistan Dawlat Zadran, Mohammad Shahzad, Mohammad Nabi,  Rashid Khan and  Asghar Stanikzai with Chirag Suri, the sixth players from UAE’s has made it to the list.

Many of the England players have put their names into the auction. Angelo Mathews Sri Lanka captain have listed the highest base price, while Ben Stokes, Eoin Morgan, and Chris Woakes have listed their basic price of Rs 2 crore.Seamer Sudeep Tyagi have been cut from the original list of 24 capped Indian players who has played four ODIs. Pawan Negi, who was bought for INR 8.5 crore in last year season by Delhi Daredevils, has settled for INR 30 lakhs.

The existing player contracts will expire after this season and some franchise will have to put a majority back into the auction in 2018. The franchises may not splurge money like they had in the previous auctions. This will be the final year of IPL, the decisions and policy for season 2018 with Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals set to return yet to be taken by the governing body.
