IPL 2017: No more play by Mustafizur Raham for Sunrisers Hyderabad


The defending team of last season Sunrisers Hyderabad team may lose the Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman in the upcoming 10th edition of IPL. In the interview with sports alive, the left arm pacer clearly said that he will not be able to play in the IPL season this time. Although he has learned the lot from it, he is just waiting for the decision of the board to allow him permission.

Raham also said that he is not sure he will be playing, even if he goes for playing, he would have to return after playing few matches. This might be in the first week of May. The 21 years old said that he was not happy with his performance in matches and he needs to get in the same flow as previously played. This is also suggested by Mashrafe Bhai(Mashrafe Moz) that to skip IPL. He is seriously taking his advice and want himself to get back into the same rhythm as earlier.

He added, ” I’m trying hard to regain the lost touch but I am still not happy with my performance”

In the last IPL 9th edition Raham played the crucial role in bringing up championship trophy for Sunrise Hyderabad taking 17 wickets in 16 matches. He bowled the total of 61 overs in the tournament at the miserly economic rate of 6.9.

Sunrise Hyderabad officials have confirmed that Mustafizur will be missing the starting matches of the tournament. All are waiting for the decision of Bangladeshi Cricket Board for the decision. They have bought up Mustafizur Rahman for 1.4 crores during last year and keep this time also. But unfortunately, he might not play for this season.

Mustafizur said that he is making himself ready to play ODIs a three-match series in Sri Lanka followed by two T20’s. In the month of May, he will be going to Ireland to play against the home team in Tri-Nation series against New Zealand.
