IPL 2017 – The Overseas EverGreen Players

The IPL tournament starting from 2008 to till now comes over the lot of changes from team names to players, jersey color to timetable schedules etc. But there are things that remain consistent from the starting to till now. Here is the list o some foreign players who remain favourite for franchises to get selected in every season. Although played for different teams.


1. Albie Morkel

Not too famous player of the list, but Albie Morkel was seen in every season of IPL. He has played the total of 91 matches in IPL scoring 974 runs taking 85 wickets at economic rates of 8.21. At the beginning of IPL, he was first picked up by Chennai Super Kings in 2008. He remains side player for CSK for 6 years. In the year 2014 he was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Next he played for Delhi Daredevils in 2015. He is the player who played for a maximum number of teams, at last, he is playing for Rising Pune Supergiants.


2. Brendon McCullum

The former New Zealand player has scored the total of 2434 runs in 92 matches at the ecomonic strike rate of 129. He was also credited with giving the best performance when needed by the team. He kicks off with 158 runs playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the year 2008. The first match of the league he played well for 3 years. In 2011 he was brought up by newly formed team Tuskers Kerala. He again showed his blistering performance scoring 357 runs in j13 matches at the strike rate of 129. He showed powerful performance playing with same KKR team ending up with IPL trophy in 2012. In 2013 he moved up to play for Dhoni leading team CSK for 2 years. He was also the batted for Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016 scoring 354 runs in 16 matches.


3. Dale Steyn

The fast bowler Dale Steyn has played the total of 90 matches taken 92 scales with the economic rate of 6.72. Although well known for fast bowling in both Test and ODIs Dale Steyn has shown down performance in short format cricket games. Despite the fact he has played evert season of IPL from beginning. Starting from 2008-2010 he had been picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore reaching the finals in 2009. The next he played with Deccan Charges which collapse due to a removal of a franchise. Style remain in Hyderabad and again played for Sunrises Hyderabad for 2 years. At last in IPL 2016 he was picked up by Gujarat Lions played only one game for the team.


2. Dwayne Bravo

All-rounder Dwayne Bravo has played for the total of 106 matches picked up 122 wickets at the economic rate of 8.18. The batting part was also good he has scored the total of 1262 runs at the strike rate of 126.32. Dwayne Bravo has played both with his bat and ball for three different teams. Starting with Mumbai Indians in 2008 he played for three years reaching up finals in 2010. In 2011 he played for Chennai Super Kings for 2 years where the team got setback for reaching up in finals but losing in both the matches. Next, he played for Super Kings again the team lost the match played against Mumbai Indians. In the year 2016, he was picked up by Gujarat Lions where he only played on match for the team.


1. AB De Villers

The South African player has shown bristling performance making up the total of 3257 runs in 120 matches at the strike rate of 149. The legend of the IPL league has the ability to turn over the game when the team is in the bad situation. He started playing IPL for team Delhi Daredevils with the sensational performance of scoring 105 runs in 66 balls played against Chennai Super Kings wins the second season. Next, the player was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore where he played some of the best innings of T20 and become one of the most adored players on 8 teams. He has scored the minimum of 300 runs for each franchise.
