Champions Sunrisers Hyderabad will host Royal Challengers Bangalore’s when the tournament takes place for 47 held across 10 venues. The tenth edition of the Indian Premier League kicks off on April 5. While the venues for the qualifiers have not been announced yet, Hyderabad named as the venue for this edition’s final to be held on May 21. BCCI have also said that the final would take place on May 21 at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
The Kings XI Punjab will host an IPL game for the first time since 2011. According to the Kings they conduct, their home games two venues namely Mohali and Indore and each team will play 14 matches.
This 10th edition of IPL will start in the same way the last edition ended where Champions Sunrises Hyderabad beat the runners-up team Royal Challengers Bangalore. All the way fans have to wait to see the new Indian caption take on his predecessor till match 17.
The second IPL campaign will be started on April 2 by MS Dhoni-led team against Mumbai Indians in the Maharashtra derby in Pune. Gujarat Lions to host Kolkata Knight Riders the tough start campaign for both the teams in Rajkot. On another hand, the first match for Delhi Daredevils will be held on April 8 in Bengaluru so the fans have to wait for the first match for devils. On same day Punjab will play against Pune in Indore.
The MS Dhoni-led team will, however, start their second IPL campaign on April 2 against two-time champions Mumbai Indians in the Maharashtra derby in Pune. Gujarat Lions, too, have been handed a tough start to the campaign as they host Kolkata Knight Riders in Rajkot. Delhi Daredevils will have to wait for all the way until April 8 for their first match, for which they will have to travel to Bengaluru, while Punjab will play their opener on the same day against Pune in Indore.
We can see four-afternoon games (1600 IST start) on weekdays in this season Monday-Friday.
