Disappoint for DD-JP Duminy drops to play for IPL 2017
A great disappointment for Delhi Daredevils, South Africa key player for Delhi Daredevil has withdrawal for playing in IPL 2017 10th edition. On Monday, Hemant Dua Chief Executive of DD has confirmed that JP will be unavailable for the tournament as for “Personal Reason”. JP was playing for Delhi Daredevils since 2014 and led the team in 2015 edition. He has show powerful performance scoring 1015 runs at the impressive average of 44.13 since 2014.
JP has expressed his disappointment not playing 10th IPL edition, he said that although he is unable to play in this season but hopes to get other IPL seasons in future. He also added it was very tough decision for him to take but due to poorly personal reason he has to withdraw himself from IPL. The lines spoken by him was “I’m grateful for the support and understanding from the franchise. It has been an absolute privilege to have played for and led a talented mix of players. I certainly hope to play a part for the franchise in the near future.”
Despite JP not playing in IPL, at this stage there in no confirm replacement for him. With the finish of sixth last season, the chief executive Hemant Dua also express his disappointment for JP. He said “We respect JP’s decision,” Dua said. “We are naturally very disappointed to not have JP in our midst this year, but as a franchise, we clearly understand his position. At this stage, we can only confirm that we will look for a replacement at an appropriate time.”
Delhi Daredevils is going to ready for playing first IPL match of 2017 against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 8.
