Paul Valthaty
Runs 463, Games 14, IPL 2011

Paul Valthaty was a played for Kings XI Punjab and seen first in World Cup squad 2002 when he play under 19 along with other players including Parthiv Patel, Irfan Pathan, and Stuart Binny. He was highlighted in the year 2011 with IPL series, hitting hard scored 122 runs in 63 balls while chasing 189 against Chennai Super Kings. A top-order batsman played first class A cricket for Himachal Pradesh squad. Disappointingly he was out of the game and IPL for not playing competitive games scoring single digit runs since April 2013.

Manpreet Gony
Wickets 17, Games 16, IPL 2008

Played for Super Kings Manpreet Gony come up as joint highest wicket taker and 4th in overall season. During the first season of IPL, he was limelight for his blistering performance with the spell of 2 for 14 helps to win the semi-final against Kings XI Punjab. Although getting rewarded for Asia Cup where he played his 2 ODIs to date, yet he was faded away for his inconsistent and injuries. He only able to manage 20 wickets in five subsequent seasons.

Swapnil Asnodkar
Runs 311, Games 9, IPL 2008

Swapnil with struggling career in domestic cricket was introduced as T20 specialist in IPL seasons. Played for Royals supported by the Shane Warne’s, he was known for his aggressive performance at the top of Royal’s order. His words from captain to him was “Set up the innings with clever stroke play and use your strong wrists. Run like a rabbit between the wickets. Must be one of the shining lights in the field.” He played well but in last 8 weeks, his form deserted him in subsequent seasons. Still, he plays in all three formats for Goa.


Kamran Khan
Wickets 9, Games 8, IPL 2009-10

When played in South Africa in 2009 season, Kamran Khan was spotted when bowling against Cape Cobras’ Justin Ontong. With no first-class experience of T20 tournament the tennis ball bowler blistering performance with his aggressive bowling. Despite for his powerful performance because of his stingy actions and pace reports he was unable to comeback in the tournament. But still, has handed over his bowling helped him to make first class debut for Sri Lankan side Colts Cricket Club in 2013.

Saurabh Tiwary
Runs 419, Games 16, IPL 2010

Saurabh was good both for state and franchise play still now but has not made his come back as compare to his powerful performance in 2010 season where he scores including in top 10 scorers with hitting boundaries capability. For his blistering performance in 2010, his price went on 40 times what was in 2008.

Ashok Menaria
Runs 400, Games 29, IPL 2011-12

Ashok Menaria, an under 19 captain has impressed with all format games over  IPL season when played for Royals. The player who never played T20 game shown good hand over slow left-arm spin. Despite good performance, he remains unsold but still plays for Rajasthan Royals in all formats.

Yusuf Abdulla
Wickets 14, Games 9, IPL 2009

The fatty left-hand seamer was the replacement of Brett Lee in the 2009 season in South Africa. The highest wicket taker shown his impressive performance in 2010 World Cup played for South Africa in West Indies. But in 2011 seasons his career graph comes downwards, the reasons were persistent injuries making things worse. His impressive season earned him a place in the South Africa side for the 2010 World T20 in the West Indies. Although with worse injuries he has not left his game and continue to play the odd List A fixture for KwaZulu-Natal Inland.But it was clear that his career will not shine like in the year 2009 again.

Joginder Sharma
Wickets 8, Games 8, IPL 2008

Joginder Sharma was the man to go in tough situation matches. Played under the lead of MS Dhoni he proved to be the strongest performer in between September 2007 and May 2008. His play was clear with an ability to dismiss big players including Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Dwayne Bravo and Jacques Kallis. He toils for the get game time in the seasons that followed. Still representing his state Haryana in Cricket he is now working as the cop in Haryana Police.


Veer Pratap Singh
Wickets 10, Games 9, IPL 2012

Veer Pratap Singh bought up by Deccan Chargers in the year 2012 auction, proves to be the most promising player at that season. At 21 years he showed his impressive performance with wicket taking ability with the economy rate of the higher side at 8.70. The Indian paceman although picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014 he yet not get the chance to play since 2012. Also not played T20 cricket over two years.
