Powerboost Performances of Pravin Tambe clearly didn’t go Unnoticed

The leg-spinner Pravin Tambe had not played even first class size top level games, brings up by Rajasthan Royals in 2013 at the age of 41, the Rajasthan Royals spotted out his talent. His name brings up in Indian Cricket when he played for Mumbai Ranji in 2000. He played his first match of T20 in 2013 against Delhi Daredevils. After playing 3 years for Royals, last year Tambe represent for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Tambe was rewarded and selected for inter-zonal competition for his leading wicket-taker for Mumbai in inter-state T 20s match with six wickets at an economy rate of 6.60.

Though given his best, still his performance was overlooked by the franchise at the 2017 IPL auction held in Bengaluru. On other hand Mumbaikar was shrewdly picked up by SRH as the base price he set was Rs 10 lakh. Disappointed for not to be taken, he clearly said that he play’s for himself not for franchises. The only goal is to perform well in other matches which are inevitable especially in the T20 format.

Getting back to his career Tambe, he was playing Dy Patel Invitational T20 Tournament in 2013. On the final day of a tournament, he got a call from Rajasthan Royals team member to report for a trail in Jaipur. Rahul Dravid and Pandy picked him up for playing in the Indian team. It’s dream come true for Tambe as he was only playing in Mumbai Maidans 20 years where only his team members know him now playing in a big ground in front of huge audience.

When asked what it feels not to be part of IPL 2017. He said “It’s a part and parcel of every sportsperson’s life. I have never taken such things negatively. I played seven matches for Gujarat last season and did well apart from maybe one or two matches, which is inevitable especially in the T20 format,”.

Tambe has played only the couple of T20 matches and a couple of Ranji games for the 41-time domestic champions. He also enjoyed playing five-day format and short formats. He clearly told that he likes to play long term format as compare to short formats, but every time he got to play for T20 matches. He said until the time I am in game I will enjoy it fully.
