Five domestic players who were purchased at the 2017 IPL auction in Banglore really made it large.

T NATARAJAN Joined up Kings XI Punjab (Rs 3 crore)


Natarajan, a left-arm pace bowler grabbed eyeballs in the inaugural season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League with his success for Dindigul Dragons in the year 2016. With quick-arm action in Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL), he took 10 wickets in seven matches in including a stellar Super Over performance in which he delivered six yorkers to seal a victory. The 25-year-old man impressively performed in Tamil Nadu’s Ranji Trophy squad finishing with 27 wickets in nine matches to help the team make the quarter-finals. He finished the tournament with four wickets in five matches making himself one of the key members of the Tamil Nadu team that reached the semi-final of the Ranji Trophy in 2016-17.

ANIKET CHOUDHARY Joined up Royal Challengers Bangalore (Rs 2 crore)


The 27-year-old Rajasthan left-arm seamer bowler went to Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 2 crore from a base price of 10 lakh. The franchise was already on the look-out for pace bowlers, played recently six in four matches of the Inter-State Twenty20 Tournament. In Rajasthan’s Ranji Trophy he took 21 wickets, 5 in three Syed Mushtaq Ali matches. Aniket showcase his talent making it easy for the franchise to select him. Ankit said “I don’t have any big plans of doing anything with the money,” Choudhary said. “I’ll spend it in a good way, invest in my fitness. I’ll probably hire a good trainer or a good physio.”

MOHAMMAD SIRAJ Joined up Sunrisers Hyderabad (Rs 2.6 crore)

The 22-year-old Hyderabad fast bowler Siraj was the second-highest wicket-taker. He went to his home franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 2.6 crore from a base price of INR 20 lakh. With his strong left arm action, he is the important part of winning Ranji Trophy first time in five seasons. Rank 41 as fast bowler he enjoys playing big matches and added to fast bowling pool. With a smooth transition to T20 cricket taking of nine wickets in the inter-state tournament, he was also selected to the Rest of India squad for the Irani Trophy.

K GOWTHAM Joined up Mumbai Indians (Rs 2 crore)


Gowtham is a 28-year-old offspinner allrounder has the ability to bowl slowly and maintain tight lines. After the three-year break from first-class cricket makes come back in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy. He picked up 27 wickets in eight matches for Karnataka. His fruitful performance and success helped Karnataka into the quarter-finals. Checking out the figures, he has taken 11 wickets from eight T20s at an economy rate of 5.58 also five wickets in the inter-state T20s earlier this month with a half-century. BASIL THAMPI Joined up Gujarat Lions (Rs 85 lakh)


BASIL THAMPI 23-year old right-arm seamer picked by the Gujarat Lions for 85 lakh rupees, more than eight times his base price of 10 lakh rupees.Thampi showcase his bowling reputation at 140 kph or more. He picked up eight wickets in five matches for Kerala in inter-state domestic T20s last month, at the economy of 6.22 with best figures of 3 for 19 against Goa.
