Varun Aaron entered 2017 IPL Auction pool aims to play for India again
Varun Aaron, the speedster from Jamshedpur has entered the IPL auction pool at a base price of Rs 30 lakh. Varun Aaron is back again after freak heel injury which took three and half months for recovery. His comeback is a good gears up for national team. When asked did the injury affects the performance he replied “I am blessed with a natural ability to bowl fast.” he added, “Till the time I am playing cricket, I will be only bowling fast.”
In IPL 2010 he impressed Sourav Ganguly and bowling coach, Wasim Akram got picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders for playing. In IPL 2011 he signed with Delhi Daredevils and played till IPL 2012 session. Playing good stocks he won maiden test cap when the west indies toured India in 2011 and featured in four ODIS. He was caught by Royal Challengers Banalugu at player auction ahead of IPL 2014 and part of the franchise in VIVO IPL 2016.
In this auction of IPL 2017 he has entered the pool with the basic amount of 30 lakhs could pe easily picked by the franchise during February 2016. The 27 year Pune Guy said “I am optimistic that franchises will be interested in what I can bring to the table. Obviously, I am looking forward to auction but before IPL, I will be playing Vijay Hazare Trophy for Jharkhand. I will be able to bowl 10 overs in a number of matches and that will certainly help me. The aim is an India comeback and every match from now on is important,”
Aaron is looking at a sustained performance throughout the season so that he can make a good place during 2017-18 season. “Practically speaking I would like to perform well before Champions Trophy. The communication system in the current Indian team set-up has been brilliant. In my case, I was injured, so there wasn’t much the team management could have told me. But the aim is to play for India again,” Aaron asserted.
List for Indian core fast bowling can include Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar being the first four choices.
